LensLight Review + Giveaway!

Many of  us have an annoying little sibling, but LensFlare has an awesome little brother called LensLight by BrainFeverMedia! (App Store: $0.99)

LensLightThis little guy is just like it’s big brother in the way it functions,  but LensLight specializes in adding a range of light effects to your images, such as light leaks, bokeh, streaks, and sparkles. You can further customize your photos with unique Lens Textures. These add a realistic glass surface that interacts with the lights.

In version 3.0, LensLight was given some major updates that mirrored that of LensFlare such as receiving new lens lights, textures, and color adjustment wheel. Now in update 3.1 you can do all that plus undo any rendered layers with the new “Clear All Effects” button.

SPOTLIGHTS
LensLight includes light sources such as spotlights, light rays, cloud rays, and light cones.

LIGHT LEAKS
A light leak is an area within a camera where extra light is able to shine in, causing the film to over-expose. This is often due to cheap cameras that aren’t perfectly sealed. These can be used to provide interesting framing around your subject.

BOKEH
Bokeh occur for parts of the scene that lie outside the depth of field, causing the characteristic glowing circular shapes. The Bokeh effects are completely interactive allowing you to adjust the Bokeh size, rotation, and density.

GLINTS AND FLARES
Several lens flare elements are also included such as glints, spikes, sparkles, and streaks.

Max Output Resolution:
iPhone4/4S: 3072×3072
iPod Touch4: 2048×2048
iPhone/iPod: 1024×1024

  1. I have been trying to achieve these effects naturally with varying degrees of success (or lack of) and this would make it so much easier to get the outcome I am chasing.

  2. My three younger sisters will attest that I do my best to light their way. But even I’ve got to admit I’m annoying. Oh, and as a fan of Lens Flare I’d love a copy of Lens Light!

  3. I’ve always wanted a baby brother! No, but honestly I’ve always been fascinated with the lens flare people create and to be able to have a broader spectrum of options would be an awesome edition.

  4. I’d like the giveaway as I do not have any “light” effects for my iPhone Art. I recently placed 3rd in the people category of the IPPA and appeared on Trey Ratcliff’s Variety Hour #38 talking about mobile photography and mobile art. I would love to give this a go and be able to put it in my edit notes when I post on Instagram and on Google+ @michmutters
