On Monday, May 20, 2013, Flikcr was given some big changes and a sleek new look. One of the biggest changes users will embrace immediately is amount of storage. Mobile shooters rejoice because everyone is given one terabyte of storage, yes that’s right, 1 TB of FREE space! That’s enough space for all your photo uploads, well depending on your device. According to Yahoo!, you could store around 436,000 photos if you’re carrying around an 8MP camera like an iPhone 5 or Galaxy S III. For an extra TB users can purchase a yearly subscription for $499.

The desktop UI is another change users will love. CEO of Yahoo, Marissa Mayer on the change:

Flickr’s stunning new desktop design puts photos at the heart of the experience. Built around a new photostream that gives you a vivid and endlessly scrolling gallery, it’s easy to see what your friends are posting and what they’re saying about your photos. And because Flickr has always been about exploring photographs from users around the world, we’ve also created a new slideshow that displays the most spectacular Flickr photos in gorgeous full-screen.
